#AyzEats Must Try Central Jersey Restaurants for Your Next Date Night!

“Where do we want to go for dinner this weekend?” If you’re like Dave and I, you and your significant other might end up going to the same few restaurants over and over. Maybe they are conveniently located, maybe they have your favorite dish, for whatever reason, when you can’t think of where to go, you go there. Having those staple, go-to restaurants is great, but it’s also super fun to try something new!

These are some of my favorite date night restaurants in the area. Maybe they are restaurants you have tried before, but if you haven’t, I highly suggest checking them out, especially while it’s still warm enough to dine outdoors.

If you saw my last #AyzEats post, you know that I recently discovered Samudhra and I am obsessed! They have a great outdoor patio area, a lounge/bar area, and a formal indoor dining area. It’s great for date night because they have something to eat for everyone, great drinks, and every space feels intimate. If you’ve never tried Indian cuisine before, this is a great place to start, they can make any dish as spicy or as mild as you would like it. Make your reservation here.

Mediterra has Mediterranean cuisine, everything from pastas to paellas! Their wine list is exquisite, and they have a large outdoor courtyard which is beautiful at night. They even have a fountain in the middle of the courtyard. The ambiance is romantic but approachable and the menu has a good amount of variety so you can try something new every time you go.

If you have followed me for a while, you know that I discovered Kyma in Somerville last year, and now I have lost count of how many times we have been back! You really feel like family when you go, and being right on Main Street in Somerville you get a fun city vibe when you dine outdoors. If you have never tried Greek food before this is a great place to try it out because they have just about everything!

What are some of your favorite restaurants in the Central Jersey area? Have you ever tried Indian, Mediterranean and Greek food? Do you think you will try something new next date night?
