My Go-To Bag: The Celine Belt Bag, Nano

It’s been a while since I’ve done a handbag review, and I get a lot of questions about this one in particular so I figured I would put a little review together to answer some of them, and give you my genuine feedback about the bag!

Why the Celine Belt Bag?

I have been wanting the Celine Belt Bag for years! I love it because of its modern shape, crossbody functionality and elevated/fashion forward look. I also own a Celine Luggage and a Celine Trapeze. Both are much larger, and I was looking for something as elevated but much smaller and easier to use everyday.

Where did I purchase?

I purchased my Celine Belt Bag in the Nano size last year from Fashionphile. One of my tricks on Fashionphile is to use your filters! I will filter for giftable, new, or excellent condition and then I will sort by price. This is an easy way to find the best condition item for your budget. Especially when you are searching for something specific like a Belt Bag where there are many pre-owned options.

I was able to find this “dark grey” one from 2018, and it arrived to me as promised in nearly new condition.

What do I love about it?

I love the color, this dark grey color is beautiful year round and really goes with most of the pieces in my wardrobe. And get this, surprisingly, it fits everything! That was a huge factor for me, it is a small crossbody but it fits my full size wallet, phone and more. I think this is due to its depth. It also has no hardware, so it’s easier to match with outfits. Some of my other designer bags have gold or silver hardware and I consider that when choosing my other accessories for the day.

Is there anything I would change?

To be honest, the Belt Bag can be a little difficult to open and close. As you might notice in a lot of my pictures, the gold magnetic closure is often exposed because when I’m on the go I hardly take the time to close it correctly. Luckily is has a full top closure so things don’t fall out, but it’s not the fastest or easiest bag to open and close. I also love the size for an everyday crossbody, but for work I could use something a little bigger. I might look into the next size up, the micro.

Overall, it’s a great go-to bag and I’m so happy I added it to my wardrobe. I didn’t have a grey bag after selling my grey Balenciaga City Bag a few years ago and I’m in love with this addition!
