Finding the perfect winter puffer coat for me has been no small task. This is usually how it goes, every year I start looking for a winter puffer early in the season (September or October), due to price, design, heaviness, reviews, I never find something I love. So I wait to buy something until December or January and it’s actually snowing and I just need something…anything! So I buy a random puffer that meets my price requirements at a big box retailer or department store promising myself I will replace it with “THE COAT”…you know, the one that will last me for years and check off all of my boxes.

I’m always on the go, whether it’s hopping in the car to go to work, running around downtown doing errands, or waiting on hot subway platforms for a train. I need something that is light enough that I’m not super hot on the train or in my car, but also warm enough that I can bare the outside elements.
